Sign Our Cut The Deficit Now Petition Today

Camp_Petition_USETHIS

For months economic experts have been warning that our country must start to reduce the deficit and cut spending immediately. According to these experts, we are on an unsustainable fiscal course. The Obama Administration and Democrats in Congress must take action now to get our fiscal house in order.

If you agree with me that we Must Cut The Deficit Now, here is something you can do to help.  Please sign my "Cut The Deficit Now" Petition today and then share it with your friends.

Congress must take action now to reduce the size of the deficit and cut government spending. Admiral Mike Mullen has said that our debt is “the biggest threat we have to our national security.” That is why we must take immediate steps to reduce our debt. We can do that by reducing spending and ensuring that we do not spend money in the future that we don’t have. I have launched a Petition to obtain 10,000 signatures from citizens who agree that we must take action now to reduce the size of our deficit and cut government spending. I need your support to bring pressure to bear on Democrats in Congress to address our country’s number one threat – deficit spending.

We have set an initial goal of 10,000 signatures.

Will you sign my petition today?  And then ask your friends and family to do so as well?

SIGN MY PETITION TODAY!!

How many more federal and state employees are there now than when the financial crisis started?
What is their average pay scale?

    A. Cut the Congressional support by 30%, this includes all offices supported by tax dollars. B. Pay our fair portion of the UN costs, total costs divided by total number of member nations. Then send the UN to another host nation for the next 20 years. C. stop all spending on social benefits of non citizens, this would include anchor babies. D. Make the requirements for employment and compensation in the US the same as the nations which surround us. E. When Congress passes a law, they must abide by it just like anyone else. F. Stop the cash cow in Washington, cut out all lobbyists and have the lawmakers work for the people.

Government officials that get paid year after year even after they have retired. They should have to get social security like everyone else. Take away that income, they are done, that should help. Then make sure just USA citizens are getting welfare benefits and start double checking on people who do get help. Help is okay, abusing it is not. One more thing, stop doing some research and shop at a convienece stores or home depot. Government pays way to much for stuff. I know some things are easier said then done but at least try.

Rescind the recently passed health care bill. That would be a great start.

Raise the retirement age, gradually. Give ample notice, so that people can plan.
I retired at 71 and only because I was forced to. I didn't draw my social security until then. Many people are healthy well into their eighties and certainly into their seventies. For those who become ill before that disability is available. Perhaps disability requirements should be reformed, as well.

One way to solve the unemployment problem is to give our jobs to citizens. I believe that illegal workers are taking jobs that citizens would fill. We should model our working permit laws after Australia's stringent requirements. In order for a non-citizen to take a job there, irrefutable proof must be obtained that no Australian is qualified and available to take the job. The employer has to advertise so long, and get affadavits etc. There is a huge fine and imprisonment followed by deportation for non-citizen workers who violate the rules and similar penalties for employers.
Here in the US it is said that Americans will not do the work. That is nonsense. There are plenty of students begging for work, unable to earn money for schooling and plenty of parents who would do anything to feed and clothe their children. When I was a kid I worked hard, picking crops, pulling weeds, mucking out stalls and cleaning. Besides, not all aliens are doing the dirty work. Some have high paying jobs, too. I get really annoyed when I go to a four star hotel and find all the workers can't speak English. Come on! Who is kidding who, here?

Stop printing money that increases our debt. Soon the dollar will be so devalued it won't be worth anything. Quit borrowing from countries like China. In your survey on the debt I wanted to vote for all but (a). The US is headed for being a third world country; arrogant, immoral, and no military to back us up, and also pagan.

In my opinion, pubic attitudes have reached the point where it may be politically feasible to actually do something meaningful about unsustainable entitlements and the rapidly rising national debt. People may now be willing to accept cuts across the board in govt programs, with some modest tax hikes, to solve these problems. The key is that ALL (repeat ALL) programs and special interest groups must participate in the cuts. Defense, welfare, blacks, corporations, high income earners...everyone must chip in something. Unfortunately I'm entirely cynical about passing laws to restrain spending. We have passed many laws already (e.g. balacned budget, paygo, etc) and Congress always seems to find a way around them.

All of the cost cutting in the world won't do a thing as long as Congress continues to spend. "Pay/Go" hasn't affected anything because there always seems to be a way to get around it. STOP SPENDING.

Throwing money at the problem does nothing. If I were to run my personal finances the way congress does, I would be thrown in jail faster than congress could spend a billion dollars. Stop your spending now

Thanks for being a responsible representative. The borrower becomes the lender's slave. Thank you for your efforts to keep America out of further bondage in our debt.
