A lifelong resident of the mid-Michigan region, Camp represents one of the largest districts in the Midwestern United States including all or parts of 14 Michigan counties.  Camp takes pride in serving his constituents by personally signing more than 50,000 pieces of mail each year.

A graduate of Albion College and the University of San Diego Law School, Camp was elected to one term in the Michigan House of Representatives and was a special attorney general and an attorney in private practice prior to serving in Congress.

Camp became Ranking Member of the Ways and Means Committee in December 2008. It is considered one of the most powerful committees in Congress with jurisdiction over tax, tariff and trade laws, plus Medicare, Social Security.

Dave and his wife Nancy and three children live in Midland, Michigan.
